The Opening

I never opened up my soul to you.

Now I unveil  it all too soon.

Each time the sense of trust,  so coldly ripped apart

Leaves jagged little shards, wedged deep into my heart.

They penetrate a little less, with every passing day.

In time I’ll learn my lesson.  And try the middle way.

Thanks for your feedback Toni! Anytime someone finds my words moving, helpful, inspirational, I know I am on the right track – making an impact in others lives – that’s why I am here.

Too much trust and too little trust may both have their dangers, I guess. The middle way tends to be the best one in most things.
