Self Talk

He didn’t call back

No need to panic.  There are so many possible reasons.

Maybe….

His mom died.

His dog died.

His bird died.

He had an avalanche at work.

His fish died.

He just discovered he has a rare disease.

He had an emergency appendectomy.

He is considering voting for Donald Trump for president.

He forgot he was leaving for vacation to Alaska.

He suddenly remembered he was married.

He forgot he was moving to Australia.

He was introduced to his friend’s anaconda and is too out of breath to converse.

They cut off his life support.

Shew.  I feel better knowing it’s got nothing to do with me.

Don’t worry! All of these are plausible reasons why he might not have been back in touch, apart from the voting for Donald Trump one, of course. That takes plausibility and rips it into tiny pieces.

Ha ha!!! That was one of my favorites! LOL! I thought my post was pretty funny, but I’m afraid some people took it too seriously. 🙂

I liked that one too. I wondered for a second how someone could possibly have an avalanche at work, and then I happened to notice the pile of papers on the desk beside me here at home and suddenly realized.

You got it! 🙂 Watch out they may have to send a rescue crew in to uncover you.
I thought for a minute…hey why is Bun up at 2:30 in the morning messy around in the blogosphere. Then I realized, hey that’s me that’s up at 2:30 a.m.! Hey why am I up and on the computer at this hour?! 🙂
Just got home from dancing a bit ago. You’ll be so proud of me….I’m eating ice cream before I go to bed. Alas, I didn’t have a jelly doughnut! Thank goodness for that. I don’t like jelly doughnuts. I do like ice cream though – Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip to be exact. I added peanut butter and flax seed oil. Haha…True dat.

Ice cream is good any time — last thing at night, first thing in the morning, sometime in between these two. I’m a little shocked you don’t like jelly doughnuts, but there are a lot of other nice doughnuts out there, so I’m assuming you must like one or more of those instead. 🙂

  3. I love this showing of how our minds start slipping into crazy thoughts when we are overthinking things and waiting on calls 😉

  4. Countless number of times have i caught myself making excuses as to why people never do things! It’s not until I stopped holding myself responsible that I truly learnt to let go.

Isn’t it amazing how we, as women, make up excuses for the men who won’t fill our wants and needs? I’ve been in similar positions many times and at the end of the day i just learned to say “fuck ’em” They’re not worth it, especially if they’re not into you. It’s not worth the energy or the time.

Loved your comment! Amen sister! I am amazing and need only be concerned with those who can see that. : ) Like the unbelievably gorgeous guy who just e-mailed me right after I sent that post off into cyberspace! Ha ha! The Universe will provide! (The only thing is….he is 3 hours away.)
I’m learning to not take things so seriously. Hence this lighthearted piece.
Nice to meet you. Thanks so much for stopping by.
